About Us

The Rocky Ford Elks Lodge #1147 has been a cornerstone of this small Arkansas Valley town for generations. Situated at 301 N 9th St, the building itself tells a story. Visitors often remark on its historic character, with a ground-floor bar and a full kitchen setup downstairs, and a second-floor meeting hall you reach by a staircase worn smooth by decades of members climbing up for dinners, ceremonies, and celebrations.

This lodge is more than a meeting hall. It regularly opens its doors for community events, from FFA banquets to civic dinners, giving local organizations a dignified space to gather. The food earns genuine praise from members and guests alike, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for from a lodge that's been serving its community this long: unpretentious, warm, and rooted in real relationships.

Traveling Elks members have discovered something especially useful here. The parking lot offers RV hookups, including 50-amp, 30-amp, and multiple 20-amp outlets on a shared pole, plus water access and a dump station. It's the kind of practical, member-first amenity that earns five-star gratitude from road-weary travelers rolling through southeastern Colorado.

What We Offer

The lodge anchors its calendar around member meetings and rituals, the ceremonial heart of every Elks chapter. But day-to-day life here runs on food, fellowship, and community service. The kitchen operates in a full restaurant-style setup, turning out meals for lodge events, private dinners, and the kind of community banquets that groups like the Rocky Ford FFA have trusted this space to host for years.

The bar on the ground floor is a genuine gathering spot, not a corporate lounge. Pull up a stool after a long day and you'll find locals who actually know each other's names. The lodge also supports Elks National Foundation charitable programs, from youth scholarships to veterans outreach, connecting this small-town chapter to a nationwide network of service.

For traveling members, the RV parking amenities in the lot are a standout. One 50-amp and one 30-amp service are available alongside multiple 20-amp outlets, with water hookup and a dump station on site. It's a resource that makes Rocky Ford a legitimate overnight stop on any Elks road trip through the region.

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
